8) Professor Dr. Noshina Saleem (Mass Communication):
Professor Dr. Noshina Saleem is an exceptional educationist with over
25 years of experience in Journalism and Mass Communications. She
made history by becoming the first woman to be accredited for an HEC-sponsored
post-fellowship scholarship to study at York University in Canada.
Dr. Saleem has published over 50 research papers and is presently
serving as a Professor and Director in the ICS Schools of Communication
Studies at the University of the Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan.
9) Professor Dr. Ayesha Roohi (Statistics): Professor
Dr. Ayesha Roohi has a remarkable academic journey that includes earning
her Doctorate in Applied Statistics from the National College of Business
Administration and Economics in Lahore in 2003. Her dedication to

Head of the Statistics Department and as the In-Charge of the Faculty

LCWU in 1983 to pursue her Intermediate studies and went on to complete
her Bachelor's in Fine Arts in 1985. Her talent and dedication have
earned her numerous international awards, including recognition from
the Oceanside Museum of Art in 2021.
11) Mrs. Bakhtawar Syeda Tariq (English): Mrs. Bakhtawar
Syeda Tariq is the oldest living alumna of LCWU. Her commitment to

as a member of the English Department. She retired as the Head of
the Department, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and excellence.

academic journey at LCWU as an FA student and later pursued postgraduate
studies in English Literature. In an honorary capacity, she taught
English to FSC classes for 1.5 years. Her remarkable career led her
to pass the PPSC and secure a position as a lecturer in 1985. She
retired as a Professor from LCWU.

departments, including Electronics, Computer Science, and Management
Science. Her extensive career includes serving as the former Dean
of Engineering and Technology, Director of Planning and Development
at LCWU, and interim Vice-Chancellor. She executed nine development
projects for LCWU and prepared a visionary 15-year plan for the institution
in 2003.
79) Professor Dr. Kausar Jamal Cheema (R) (Natural and Environmental
Sciences): Professor Dr. Kausar Jamal Cheema has had a distinguished
career in the Faculty of Natural Sciences at LCWU. She played a key
role in preparing a 15-year vision for the faculty in 2003 and established
the Department of Environmental Sciences. Her contributions extended
to executing projects funded by DFID and DELPHI.
