MARIUM NAWAZ

Marium Nawaz is a Pakistani politician and the daughter of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif. She is known for her strong advocacy for women's rights, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for the youth in Pakistan. Her career has seen a significant transition from philanthropic activities to formal politics. Marium Nawaz served as the Chairperson of the Prime Minister's Youth Program, where she played a key role in initiatives aimed at empowering and supporting the youth of Pakistan.

SALEEMA HASHMI

Saleema Hashmi is a well-known painter. She
is the daughter of Late Faiz Ahmed Faiz. She has served as a professor
in National College of Arts and for a period of four years, she
was appointed as the Dean of the college. She has formerly been
a Caretaker Minister at the Sethi Caretaker Ministry, and she
is also contributing as an anti-nuclear weapon activist. She has
been outspoken about her political views. She received Pride of
Performance in 1999.

YASMIN RASHID

Dr. Yasmin Rashid is a Pakistani politician and a medical doctor known for her involvement in the
field of healthcare and politics. She was the Vice-Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Medical University
in Lahore and has been a prominent figure in the healthcare sector.

ZAKIA SHAHNAWAZ

Zakia Shahnawaz Khan is a Pakistani politician who served as a member of the Provincial Assembly
of the Punjab for an extended period from 1977 to May 2018. An agriculturist by profession, she
successfully won a seat in the Punjab Assembly for the third time during the general elections of
2013. Her role in the assembly was in one of the seats reserved for women, and she made notable
contributions during her political career in Punjab

MS. ZEIB REHMAN

Ms. Zeib Rehman is a prominent lawyer with a diverse range of talents. She graduated from
Lahore College for Women University in the 1970s and was actively involved in sports and
various societies during her college years. In addition to her legal career, Zeib Rehman is a well-
known TV and film artist, adding to her versatility and influence in the cultural and legal spheres.
She currently practices law and continues to make significant contributions to both fields.

MRS. RAZINA ALAM

Mrs. Razina Alam is a distinguished politician and a graduate of Lahore College for Women. Her
involvement in various educational and administrative roles is noteworthy. She has served as
the Higher Education Commission (HEC) nominee for the Syndicates of several prominent
universities, including Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi, Hi-Tech University Taxila,
and Lahore College for Women University. Additionally, she has been a member of the Senate
Committee on Education, playing a crucial part in shaping educational policies and standards in
Pakistan.

PROF. AARFA SYEDA ZEHRA

A former student of Lahore College for Women University, Aarfa Syeda Zehra is a Professor
Emerita of History at FCCU. She is an educationist, and Urdu Language Mentor. She served as a
principal in Lahore College for Women University from 1988-1989. She is also a former caretaker
Provincial Minister of Punjab. She was a member of the Punjab Public Service Commission as
well. Her research works include intellectual history, historical analysis and critique, human
rights, and gender literature and social issues.

BUSHRA MATEEN

Dr. Bushra Mateen was a prominent figure in the field of education in Pakistan, known for her
remarkable contributions to Lahore College for Women University (LCWU). Serving as the first
vice-chancellor of LCWU, she played a pivotal role in advancing women's education and
academic excellence. Her long-standing dedication to the institution was evident through her
13-year tenure as principal before assuming the role of vice-chancellor. Dr. Bushra Mateen's
leadership and vision continue to be celebrated, as she left an indelible mark on the academic
landscape, leaving a lasting legacy of empowerment and progress for women in Pakistan's
education system. Her passing in April 2021 marked the end of a remarkable chapter in the
history of women's education in Pakistan.

TAHIRA SYED

Tahira Syed is Pakistans famous vocalist and Television Personality. She was born to the famous
vocalist Malika Pukhraj. Started singing at the age of 12, she received her classical music training
from a renowned Classical vocalist, Akhtar Hussein. She is known for her expertise in the genres
of Ghazal and Folk Music. She has been active since 1968, and has kept her reputation. She has
often delivered speeches in Literature and Art festivals throughout her life.

IFFAT OMER

Iffat Omar is a renowned actress of Pakistan
Entertainment Industry. She is a former model, and highly acclaimed
artist. She has been onscreen since the late 1980s, and has held
her position as a straightforward person. She has also hosted
shows in her career. Iffat Omar has won numerous awards for her
excellent performance

ARIFA SADDIQUE

Arifa Siddiqui is a renowned Pakistani actress
and singer known for her work in television series and films.
She hails from a family with strong connections to the entertainment
industry. Notable members of her family include her mother, Talat
Siddiqui, who was an actress, and her sister Nahid Siddiqui, a
classical dancer. Arifa is also related to the famous Pakistani
pop and TV singer Fariha Pervez.

DR. ASMA MAMDOT

Dr. Asma Mamdot is a well-known politician who
has actively participated in both the National Assembly and the
Punjab Provincial Assembly Standing Committee on Education. Her
active involvement reflects her dedication to promoting female
education and empowering women in Pakistan. Dr. Asma Mamdot's
contributions in the field of education and her role in the legislative
process have made her a significant advocate for positive change
in the country.

MS. ANJUM SHAMIM

Ms. Anjum Shamim, a distinguished educationist,
was a student at Lahore College in the mid-70s. During her college
years, she actively participated in sports and co-curricular activities,
showcasing her well-rounded educational background. Presently,
she is the force behind numerous branches of Learning Alliance,
a renowned school in Lahore. Her commitment to education and her
ability to provide quality learning experiences have made her
an influential figure in the educational sector.

BUSHRA ANSARI

Bushra Ansari, a former student of Lahore College
for Women University, is a renowned actress, comedian, and song
writer. In her career, she has made her mark through her versatile,
and extraordinary talent. She has secured Pride of Performance
in 1989 for her contributions to the Pakistani Entertainment Industry.
Along with Ansari, her siblings, and other relatives are also
a part of the Drama Industry of Pakistan.

MS. AYESHA HAMID

The former Head Girl of Lahore College for Women, Ms. Ayesha Hamid is a distinguished educationist and social worker. She has always devoted herself actively to the cause of promoting quality school education in Pakistan. She is one of the patrons and chairperson of OPEN.

PROF. DR. IQBAL DAR

Prof. Dr. Iqbal Dar served as the former Principal of Lahore College for Women (from 1976-1981) and played a crucial role in launching several postgraduate programs in different disciplines. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of California and has been part of a US Aid funded project for female education in the 1960s. Even after her retirement from the job, she served as a consultant at Amin Maktab, a school for special children, and as an advisor on education to the Government of Punjab, continuing her commitment to the advancement of education.

DR. QUDSIA AKRAM

Dr. Qudsia Akram, an esteemed academic and accomplished scholar in International Relations,
has a notable connection with Lahore College for Women University (LCWU). She completed her
B.S. (Hons) in International Relations at LCWU, laying the foundation for her academic journey.
Since then, Dr. Akram has significantly advanced in her career, obtaining an M.Phil. from Quaid-
i-Azam University, Islamabad, and a Ph.D. from the University of Punjab. Currently serving as an
Assistant Professor at Kinnaird College for Women in Lahore, she has contributed extensively to
the academic community, both through teaching and research. Dr. Akram's journey from being
an alumna of LCWU to her current position highlights her dedication to education and research,
showcasing her ongoing commitment to her alma mater and the broader academic landscape.

PROF. DR FARHAT SALEEMI

Professor Farhat Saleemi is a respected academic figure currently serving as a Professor of
Physics at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. With a
notable presence on platforms like LinkedIn and Google Scholar, she has made significant
contributions to the field of physics. Her affiliation with LCWU extends beyond teaching, as
evidenced by her role as a project director at the Central Research Lab, positioning it as a focal
point for research and development activities at the university. Professor Saleemi's research
contributions in physics are recognized on her Google Scholar profile, and she shares her work
on platforms like Academia.edu. Her enduring commitment to education and research solidifies
her position as an influential figure within the academic community at LCWU.

MRS. NEELAM SHAFI ALI

Mrs. Neelam Shafi Ali is a senior bureaucrat and former federal secretary of the Government of
Pakistan. Her extensive career includes service in various Federal Ministries, such as Interior,
Finance, Commerce, Women Development and Youth Affairs, Culture and Sports, Production,
Economic Affairs Division, and the Ministry of Defense. She has also been a council member of
Lahore College for Women and has served as the editor of the college magazine, Kiran. Her
career showcases her dedication to public service and governance.

PROF. M.B. HASSAN

Prof. M.B. Hassan, an educationist and former Principal of Lahore College for Women, has made
significant contributions to the development of the physical infrastructure of educational
institutions. She served as the Principal of Queen Mary and Islamia College for Women, and her
education background includes higher education from the UK. Prof. M.B. Hassan's dedication to
education has left a lasting impact on the educational facilities and opportunities in Pakistan.

MRS. ROOH AFZA HAIDER

Mrs. Rooh Afza Haider is a renowned Urdu author and cultural ambassador. Graduating with a
degree in Persian from LCWU in the late 1930s, she continued to promote Pakistan's culture
globally as the spouse of a diplomat and later an ambassador. Her active participation in various
cultural and literary activities has made her an influential figure in the world of Urdu literature
and culture.

PROF. DR. IQBAL RASHEED MIAN

Prof. Dr. Iqbal Rasheed Mian completed her FSc Pre-Medical at LCWU and went on to become a
prominent gynecologist in the medical field. Her educational journey continued with higher
studies in the UK, and she eventually served as a Professor of Gynaecology at King Edward
Medical College. Her expertise in the field of medicine has made a significant impact on
women's health and medical education in Pakistan.

PROF . DR RUKHSANA DAVID

Prof. Dr. Rukhsana David, currently serving as the Principal of Kinnaird College for Women, is an
esteemed alumna of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU). With over 30 years in the
field of education, her journey reflects the transformative impact of LCWU, highlighting her
commitment to academic excellence. As an alumna leader, she bridges the connection between
her alma mater and her role at Kinnaird College, symbolizing the university's legacy of
empowering graduates to become influential figures in their respective fields.

DR. SAMIA RAHEEL QAZI

A luminary among Lahore College for Women University's esteemed alumnae, Dr. Samia Raheel Qazi is a force to be reckoned with, seamlessly blending her roots in a family steeped in history with a present marked by impactful leadership. As the daughter of the late Qazi Hussain Ahmad, a towering figure in Jamat-e-Islami, Dr. Qazi dons multiple hats – from being the Chairperson of the Council of Trustees for the International Muslim Women Union (IMWU) at the United Nations to serving as an International Ambassador for Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan. With a literary portfolio boasting 12 published books and a stint as a Member of the National Assembly in Pakistan, Dr. Qazi's journey is a tapestry of diversity and influence. She unveils the layers of her upbringing in a scholarly and politically engaged family, recounts her political ventures, and navigates the delicate dance between household duties and groundbreaking work. Dr. Qazi also shares her captivating vision for the moral, spiritual, and intellectual resurgence of Muslim youth, reflects on the dynamic evolution of Jamat-e-Islami, and warmly reminisces about her father, Qazi Hussain Ahmad. DR. TAHIRA AZIZ MUGHAL

Dr. Tahira Aziz Mughal is a highly accomplished academic and researcher, prominently associated with Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) in the Department of Environmental Science. Holding the position of a Full Professor and also serving as the Chairperson of the Environmental Science Department, Dr. Mughal has made significant contributions to various fields, particularly in pharmacognostical evaluation, physiochemical analysis, and the utilization of natural resources for diverse applications

DR. HUMALA KHALID

Dr. Humala Khalid is a professor at Lahore College for Women University and currently serves as an adviser for the Education Board of Tahzebul Akhlaq Trust since August 2011. Previously, she held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Islamic and Oriental Learning from November 2006 to October 2011. In addition, Dr. Khalid worked as a Program Officer for Social and Human Sciences at UNESCO Islamabad from December 2002 to June 2005. She earned her Doctor of Education (Ph.D) in Gender, Education, and Development from the Education University of London in 1983-1997 and her Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Educational Psychology in 1984-1985.

DR. KAUSAR MALIK

Dr. Kausar Malik, a distinguished Professor in Molecular Biology at the Centre of Excellence in Molecular
Biology, University of the Punjab, Lahore, stands as the first-ever Professor/Director promoted to Grade-
22 for her exemplary performance. With a profound academic background, including a Ph.D. in
Molecular Biology, she holds 35 years of diverse experience in fields like Molecular Biology,
Biotechnology, Toxicology, Immunology, and more. Dr. Malik substantial contributions to research,
with 272 publications, 8 patents, and 11 Genbank submissions, highlight her impactful career. Her
pivotal role in developing Bt-cotton to address insect resistance in crops underscores her practical
applications of research. Serving as Director at CEMB since 2022, Dr. Malik has effectively balanced her
academic prowess with key administrative roles, contributing significantly to the growth and
development of her institutions. Beyond her professional achievements, she is a dedicated educator,
having been shortlisted thrice for the position of Vice Chancellor in public sector HEC-recognized
universities. Dr. Malik journey exemplifies her unwavering commitment to research, education, and
institutional development, leaving a lasting impact on her students and the field of molecular biology.
